Sally's Leadership Journey

Having served in leadership positions for three and a half decades, Sally offers expertise in the full range of challenges and opportunities organizations face. Sally is a  seasoned C-Suite executive with experience in all facets of organizational leadership and operations including: human resources search at all levels; strategic planning and facilitation including annual goals setting and performance measurement; revenue generation and development; board strategy, recruitment and support; finance and budgeting; marketing and communications; program development and management; and federal and state policy.  

Sally's many years of leadership experience allow her to support you authentically and intuitively.

Sally is your experienced ally in maximizing your mission. As CEO, COO, ED and Interim ED, Sally has led start-up, turn-around and well-established enterprises focused on missions (for profit and non-profit) across the human life span, from early childhood education and K-12 reform to teen pregnancy prevention to global training for couples therapists to stopping Alzheimer’s. She has led community-based direct service as well as national, mission-focused advocacy enterprises.

Sally's journey continues

Sally also served as a political appointee at the U.S. Labor Department and in senior roles at the National Governors Association, the Council for Excellence in Government, the Massachusetts Department of Employment and Training, and the Harvard Kennedy School as Assistant Director of the Master’s in Public Policy program. She also ran the woman-owned small business Practical Strategy through which she consulted to non-profits and government agencies.

Sally’s Education: Sally has an M.B.A. with highest honors from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business (where she received the Beta Gamma Sigma distinction for outstanding academic performance) and a B.A. with honors in political science from Colgate University. She has thrice attended executive education programs at Harvard Business School's social enterprise program in strategic planning and performance measurement.

Sally's Non-Profit, Ibis Collaborative: In addition to founding and leading Sachar Solutions, Sally launched Ibis Collaborative in 2021. In an era characterized by significant divisions on both domestic and global fronts, Ibis fosters community, connection, and mutual understanding through discussion groups with “golden agers.” By delving into current events, analyzing news, and exploring history, Ibis enhances understanding, bridges divides, and stimulates learning and intellectual growth for its participants.
